Chow, Candace

Mrs. Chow is a good English teacher. She concentrates on grammar, SAT vocabulary, and assigned books. She also gives out projects that are completed with groups of students. Students also write letters to each other about different writings they do. One assignment that took a day in Mrs. Chow’s class was insulting each other with different combinations of Shakespearean insults. Like most English Teachers, Mrs. Chow’s final is a portfolio of all you did during that school year.

Grant, Aimee

English 10 is not too much different from English 9 and because of that, I recommend possibly testing out. However, while this course is almost a review of English 9, Mrs. Grant is a decent teacher. Grammar, analytical writing, and reading assigned books makes up most of the class. The analytical writing is actually pretty beneficial to learning/perfecting your essay structure. Like most English teachers, Mrs. Grants final is a portfolio of all you did.

Huttenga, Brad

Mr. Huttenga is a great English teacher. In this course you are taught the history, times, and well, literature of the old tribes of the British Isles through the people of England today. You will be reading books and plays like: Pygmalion, Lord of the Flies, Brave New World, Beowulf, and other British classics. While at times (especially during poetry units) class can seem very boring, this course is still very educational and Mr. Huttenga does his best to make it interesting (he even throws in some movies). While there isn’t much writing taught in this class, Mr.

Julius, Douglas

Mr. Julius is a really easy English teacher all you do in his class is read books and watch a lot of movies. He doesn’t seem to really care about his English classes because he is a Latin teacher who doesn’t have enough students to fill all of his hours so they stick him in English. If you want a really easy English class with minimal work then this is a good class for you.

Wright, Kimberley

Mrs. Wright is a pretty cool teacher. She is somewhat laid back and is really nice and lenient. She takes a really long time to grade things and give them back to you which is bad but not that big of a deal. Another thing I didn’t like was the binder check. At the end of the first semester, she makes you turn in you binder with almost every paper you used for that semester. For our class, since no one did it right, she gave everyone a 50/50 because she didn’t want us to fail, but I don’t know what she will do for future classes.

Fox, Robert

Mr. Fox is a really cool guy. He is pretty chill and isn’t too strict. He does have somewhat of a sense of humor. The bad part about his TV Radio class is that the first half of the semester is note taking. You copy out of a textbook and answer tons of questions. But occasionally he will show you a movie or TV show which is pretty cool. But after the first half, you get to form groups and film your own movie. Everyday you come in and can take a camera and walk around the school filming. You just ask him if you can go, write out a pass and leave, no questions asked.
